Joe was in the army for 8 years, where he also served as a military police officer. He then owned his own martial arts school where he taught karate, judo and jiu jitsu. Hethen worked at the Shawnee County Jail as a guard and taught self defense while earning 2 two degrees at Washburn University, a degree in Psychology and a degree in Criminal Justice. After college Joe started Real Estate in 2002.
